Amegy Bank's first payment-processing system required developers to create a Web site for each new commercial customer and did not allow those customers to keep consumers on their own Web sites throughout the online experience. Using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 and the .NET Framework, the bank built a new payment-processing solution in 90 days that requires no developer effort for each new customer. The solution integrates programmatically with customers' e-commerce sites, enabling those customers to keep consumers on their own sites throughout the shopping experience.
