Chunghwa Telecom Expands and Improves Service for International Operations

CHunghwa Telecom (CHT) is the leading telecom service provider in Taiwan. Competition in Taiwan's telecom market has been increasingly intense after liberalization, and it is important for CHT to expedite its expansion into overseas markets. CHT selected a Cisco optical networking solution, using the Cisco ONS 15454 MultiService Provisioning Platform (MSPP), to help propel its rapid expansion into overseas markets in Asia, Europe and the United States. CHT also expects the Cisco optical networking solution to enhance end-to-end management of its customers' networks and improve services to the increasing number of Taiwanese Service Providers (SPs) and enterprises with global operations.
