The Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) system, located in northern Virginia, is the twelfth largest school system in the United States. FCPS rely heavily on computers for instruction and staff communications. Teachers' computers are often hooked up to a VCR and large television monitor and are used for classroom presentations. Teachers also use them to surf the Web to support classwork. FCPS implemented Tren Micro's ScanMail and ServerProtect which provide significant productivity and economic savings in personnel time, system availability, and downtime for infected users, and teaching disruption.
