Its successful large Cisco Unified Communications deployments, along with years of IP technology experience, won Cisco Gold Certified Partner Sentinel Technologies a contract with Township High School District 214, located outside Chicago. The district's director of technology wanted to get rid of its 10-year-old Centrex system, and leasing a new system was cost prohibitive. This case study explains how the school district is saving $400,000 a year with Cisco Unified Communications, while providing a platform for applications such as time and attendance. The solution included updating of the wireless infrastructure and deploying 1300 Cisco Unified IP Phones.
