When a new issue comes to market, i-Deal provides a powerful online platform where issuers, brokerage firms, investors, and mutual fund managers can issue billions of dollars' worth of securities in minutes. Since 2001, the i-Deal platform has run reliably on Microsoft SQL Server 2000, but the company wanted to be able to measure performance on its production servers without any noticeable overhead. SQL Server 2005, part of Microsoft Windows Server System integrated server software, provides i-Deal with out-of-the-box performance measurement tools that operate with minimal overhead.
