As a growing media conglomerate in an era where real-time news was in high demand, the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) needed a consolidated and centralized system that offered high reliability and availability, whilst minimising costs and deployment of resources. After extensive evaluation, NSTP ultimately chose Computer Associates' BrightStor ARCserve Backup in 2003 to help protect, and if necessary, restore its critical data. The solution also helped NSTP in the implementation of data storage in their offsite disaster recovery centre.
