Esterline Technologies Corporation is a leader in the aerospace and defense industry, and has been acquiring specialty component manufacturers as a part of its growth strategy. With over 12,000 Sarbanes-OXley (SOX) documents to manage, Esterline seeks to ensure controlled access to documents, document status tracking, version control, and reporting capabilities, all while allowing new subsidiaries to maintain autonomy. The company also wants to improve access to information while reducing consulting costs. Esterline worked with Two Degrees Consulting, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, to implement an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution based on products in the 2007 Microsoft Office system.
