GFI Progiciels, an independent software vendor under GFI Informatique in France, develops solutions for clients in a range of industries. The company had recently created a new version of its Immos.NET solution, which is used by the French public sector for asset management. In order to verify the software's new architecture, which is based on the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, and to confirm its decision to use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database software instead of an Oracle database, GFI Progiciels needed to conduct a Proof of Concept (PoC). GFI Progiciels worked with Microsoft Technology Center Paris to conduct the PoC, which validated the software and technology selections for Immos.NET and proved significant load capacity.
