This webcast shows how to use Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services to build end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The webcast shows how to create an Analysis Services 2005 Unified Dimensional Model (UDM) that can be consumed by Excel 2007, and demonstrates how to use the new features in Excel 2007 to take advantage of the metadata exposed by the UDM. During the webcast, the presenters will build a sample BI solution that explores enhancements such as the new functionality available in PivotTables, a set of seven new OnLine Analytical Processing (OLAP) formulas one can use to retrieve data from Analysis Services 2005, and conditional formatting improvements one can apply to better visualize the BI data.
