This paper investigates Enterprise Management Associates (EMA's) finding on ITIL adoption, trends in ITIL practices, and a brief description of the market. It also discusses ITIL in the context of major shifts in IT practices, including Configuration Management DataBase (CMDBs), SOA and Service Catalogs.
