The Piaggio Group manufactures 600,000 two-wheeled and light-goods vehicles every year. With operations in 50 countries, the company enjoys a 40 per cent market share in the European scooter and 50cc-vehicle sector. Historically, Piaggio used disparate software tools for operational and financial reporting, but these could not provide consolidated reports on a group-wide basis. To address this issue, the company deployed Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution OutlookSoft CPM, which runs on a consolidated Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database. Piaggio has reduced data management and processing times with the flexible and efficient software, which provides a unified reporting architecture at group level.
