Customers need to be able to deploy and communicate with other applications across platforms without having to reengineer or make expensive changes or build customized bridges across applications, while retaining the advantages of the NonStop system. One of the most frequent questions from customers is how can one exchange data between applications using XML? In particular, how to get this done with the existing NonStop applications? HP NonStop SOAP software helps to achieve these goals and more. This paper discusses how NonStop SOAP software can be used to implement NonStop Transaction Services/MP (NonStop TS/MP), formerly part of Pathway software, as Web services. It includes sample scenarios, which are based on the target service that one wants to expose as a Web Service.
