As a world leader in research to understand, treat and prevent cancer, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is credited with pioneering bone-marrow transplantation as a successful treatment for leukemia and other blood diseases. Having decided to print personalized small quantity materials in-house, the Center needed to select an appropriate output device that would convey the high-quality of the Center itself, and still deliver the pieces at a cost below the rate of an external print shop. To simplify operations and support, Trakarnsilpa's team has standardized on HP ProLiant DL380 servers for file and print, database, and web servers, and its 60 black-and-white printers are a mix of HP LaserJet 9000 series, 8100 series and 4300 series printers.
