PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk. is a major manufacturer of poultry and fish products and supplies, with sales of Rp5.5trillion (U.S.$600,000,000) and 14,000 employees. The company used a variety of Open Source solutions to support its countrywide operations. Over time, it learned that mixing the solutions with third-party products such as antivirus and email content analyzer created administration problems. It decided to deploy Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 with the help of PT Kairos Utama Indonesia, to take advantage of the integrated platform. Now the company can provide improved messaging for its mobile executives, control the use of email with policy-based rules and ensure increased security - all without integration challenges.
