SGI, also known as Silicon Graphics, Inc., is the world's leader in high-performance computing, visualization and storage. SGI wanted to reduce IT ownership costs by standardizing on single integrated Enterprise-Resource Planning (ERP) platform and improve speed and efficiency of order-processing and warehouse operations; boost shipping accuracy. The challenge was to cut inventory carrying costs and stock obsolescence and control costs of managing human resources and compensation plans worldwide. SGI implemented range of Oracle E-Business Suite applications, providing seamless integration between warehouse, logistics and ERP systems. The single integrated platform reduced total IT ownership costs.
