Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Corporation, a leader in Japan's pharmaceutical industry, has offices in 25 countries worldwide. Active Directory accounts and the e-mail addresses of its Microsoft Exchange Server Global Address List (GAL) were scattered among these offices. This limited global resource sharing complicated overseas communications and caused administration inefficiencies. With the help of CAC Corporation and Microsoft Services, Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical built a global resource domain, consolidating Active Directory accounts and the GAL into one location. Its Lightweight Directory Access Protocol directory is shared globally and automatically collects account information from each office using the Identity Integration Feature Pack for Active Directory.
