The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has over 10,000 workers and is responsible for providing Housing, Education, Social Services Highway and Environmental services in the Borough. They wanted to provide free wireless access to the community while at the same time provide secure wireless access to their staff members throughout the Borough. Utilising Cisco Aironet 1200 access points, Cisco PIX firewall technology and Cisco VPN concentrator a state of the art secure infrastructure was created that suits the Borough's current needs and allows for future technology upgrades.
