CDM provides consulting, engineering, construction, and operations services to clients around the world. When traveling to meet with clients to develop projects, the company's highly mobile work force needed reliable access to key resources such as e-mail and customer information applications. CDM deployed cellular-based devices running Microsoft Windows Mobile software for Smartphones and Windows Mobile software for Pocket PCs in tandem with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. The deployment of more than 500 Windows Mobile - based devices has increased communication, facilitated timely decisions, and increased the productivity of mobile workers. With this solution, CDM can respond quickly to clients, improve communication between team members, and support the overall work-life balance of its increasingly mobile work force.
