As event-integration technology evolves for the BMC Performance Manager Portal, BMC Software maintains its commitment to existing technologies while providing a path to future solutions. This approach ensures that customers can take advantage of new technologies. This paper describes the various methods for event integration, illustrates their architecture and event flow, and describes how to combine the PATROL and the BMC Performance Manager Portal technologies. Scenarios in the paper represent PATROL Agent-managed environments and the implications for event integration when remote management technology with the portal is introduced.
