This white paper provides complementary information for how to configure HP OpenView Storage Data Protector 5.1 in HP-UX Oracle8i /9i and HP StorageWorks Disk Array XP environments. It describes how to enable the former OmniBack II Oracle integration for Zero Downtime Backups (ZDB) without the RMAN Proxy Copy feature. The former OmniBack II Oracle ZDB integration utilized the Oracle 8.0.x RMAN Backup Set feature. Oracle introduced the RMAN Proxy Copy feature with version 8i and HP OpenView Storage Data Protector supports it since version 5.0.
