The HP StorageWorks XP12000 Disk Array has the highest availability of any previous generation XP array and clearly outperforms the competition. The long-established design principles for the StorageWorks XP systems are, in priority order, to ensure uncompromising reliability and availability to provide a storage platform enabling advanced features and functions for the most demanding Storage Area Network (SAN) environment workloads. When configuring to optimize performance, the XP12000 Disk Array has differences from previous XP arrays that must be considered. The XP12000 Disk Array is architecturally different than the HP StorageWorks XP1024 Disk Array.
