Microsoft's Business Intelligence Center Of Excellence team (BICOE) is a service organization dedicated to helping groups throughout the company benefit from the spectrum of databases and reporting tools available across the enterprise. A key challenge for users has long been the lack of a central, easy to use, integration point for hosting so many different types of reporting solutions, and the BICOE team is eager to develop a solution that will bolster the company's internal Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 gives the BICOE team the integration platform they need to create a BI portal and begin to implement their vision of providing a single point from which users can access all the reports and other metrics their work requires.
