In 2004, the Polish headquarters of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics took over the management of its IT resources, which, until then, had been outsourced. Then, in 2005, the company set up a Software Asset Management (SAM) program to help achieve its goals. Today, Hellmann finds it easier to manage its IT resources and stay legally compliant with its licensing. It has reduced IT costs about 10 percent and expects to save more in the future. Hellmann relies on Microsoft Office System products, such as Word 2003 and Excel 2003 spreadsheet software.
