Founded in 1933, Fracarro became a leader in TV signal technology in the 1970s and today provides 80% of the antennas and TV carrier systems used by Italian households. Fracarro wanted to adopt a standard business-software platform independent from the hardware manufacturer and allow the company to switch gradually to the new platform without constraints. The company wanted to create opportunities for lowering costs by moving customer service online and consolidating technical knowledge in one place. They wanted to ensure the highest level of system reliability, security, and data quality. Fracarro supported the company's reorganization by creating "Virtual communities" of colleagues that work together and communicate with Oracle Collaboration Suite.
