Oracle Database XE is an entry-level, small footprint starter database. Oracle Database XE is built using the same code base as Oracle Database 10g Release 2 products (Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition), and is available on 32-bit Windows platforms and Linux platforms. In 2005, Oracle and Zend Technologies entered into a partnership to develop an integrated solution designed to help developers build and deploy database-driven Web applications based on the popular PHP scripting language. In October 2005, Oracle and Zend announced the general availability of Zend Core for Oracle (ZCO). This paper covers the installation of Oracle Database XE Zend Core for Oracle.
