Computers can and do fail and nasty viruses can take down the system even with antivirus software and a firewall. Back up the data for ultimate security. The problem is that a person usually gets no warning before it's too late. This has happened to more than a few businesspeople. In extreme cases, it has put companies out of business. And the worst part is this: It's completely avoidable. By backing up the data, the person can retrieve all or most of what he lose.
