The university wanted to improve IT performance while lowering costs. The university created a highly scalable, reliable, and secure data infrastructure for the school of engineering with Oracle technology, including Oracle Database 10g Release 2, Oracle Real Application Clusters, and Oracle Application Server 10g information, and more. They deployed the infrastructure on Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9, to ensure scalability and reduce hardware costs.
