Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Mobile Service (OMS) is the new messaging and Personal Information Manager (PIM) component developed for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. OMS is designed to enable Outlook to be the best tool for mobile messaging and notification. With OMS, users can compose and send text and multimedia messages within Outlook in the same way as they do with regular e-mail messages. This paper will show how to build and host Web Services for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Mobile Service (Beta 2). It introduces OMS architecture and message flow, and describes the communication protocols between OMS clients and Web services, as well as providing guidelines on Web page development for the service.
