French telecommunication company Jet Multimedia wanted to grow its customer base and attract Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) with a new product offering. The service provider recognised that most French SMEs were reliant on e-mail services based on POP3 technology, which lacked rich collaborative features such as calendaring and shared contact lists, and was difficult to safeguard against viruses and spam. After deploying Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration, Jet Multimedia could offer SMEs a cost-effective e-mail solution with a range of value-added features - including Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA) and Office Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) for remote synchronisation with handheld devices.
