In 2005, Dance Tunes B.V. launched Dance-Tunes.com, the first Dutch dance music portal that allows consumers to download compressed audio files of their choice. Dance Tunes wanted to create an affordable online download platform for music that hinders illegal downloads and supports international expansion and ensure security and controllability of music and downloads. They wanted to enable simple online payment even for customers without credit cards. The company rapidly developed a reliable, secure, and scalable content management system and Web site with Oracle Application Express 10g, a rapid Web application development tool for the Oracle database; Oracle Developer Suite 10g (Oracle Designer and Oracle Reports Developer); Oracle Application Server 10g; Oracle Real Application Clusters 10g; and Oracle Database 10g on Linux.
