Pacific MindWorks, based in San Diego, develops software for the electronic test and measurement industry. The company has fewer than 10 employees, and therefore staff time is extremely important. Pacific MindWorks used its customers' WebEx to perform product demonstrations, conduct project reviews, and to train customers who were out of the state and even out of the country. However, the software did not always perform correctly. To overcome these problems, Pacific MindWorks implemented Microsoft Office Live Meeting and now has an affordable real-time collaboration solution. With the new solution, the company can have Web conferences with customers, and it saves the cost of sending its employees to customer sites during critical times.
