TUV NORD Group has three main offices: the headquarters in Hamburg, as well as large offices in Hannover and Essen. The technical service provider resulted from the merger of RWTUV, TUV Nord, and TUV Hannover/Sachsen-Anhalt. In accordance with the general trend, TUV NORD Group faced constantly increasing data volumes and its infrastructure was no longer able to cope with the new proportions. The implementation of a Storage Area Network (SAN) seemed to be the right solution - especially as consolidations were also planned. True to its basic principles of independence, neutrality, and integrity, the service provider also leaves nothing to chance when it comes to the availability of its own data, and therefore relies on backup software from Symantec.
