HAZET is one of the world's leading manufacturers of precision tools for the automotive industry. The company already ran its SAP on a two-node HP cluster but when it decided to centralise all its stores on one site at Heinsberg, more processing power was needed to meet the increased workload and support the distribution process. The company decided to build a scalable solution that would give it the agility to meet changing business conditions, and chose to invest in a totally new hardware platform. This included two HP ProLiant DL385 G1 servers connected to an HP StorageWorks EVA4000 storage array with HP OpenView Storage Data Protector storage management software.
