The Romanian Savings Bank known as CEC (Casa de Economii si Consemnatiuni) is the country's oldest savings bank and has over 1,400 branches serving some 2.8 million customers. To capitalise on its many branches it also included 1,000 Point Of Sale (POS) machines as well as back office systems to support, at that time, a single Visa Electron card. To achieve this exciting new business development, CEC needed a trusted partner with a reputation for providing quality solutions to the financial services industry. It chose HP.
