UMB Financial Corporation is a full-service financial organization, and retail banking is a primary line of business. Because the servers were important to their business, the company was paying a lot of money to a third-party company just to keep them under maintenance in case they failed. The 18 physical servers were migrated to virtual machines with VMware P2V Assistant. The bank moved the teller application onto ESX Server - retiring the old hardware, eliminating third-party maintenance costs and increasing the availability of the teller application.
