This paper explains how one can centralize the firewall administration to better control and monitor firewalls for multiple Web services and the associated services and applications in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). The paper also explains why one need to set up adequate firewalls for multiple Web services to protect against the malicious traffic that can enter the firewall and adversely impact guarantees specified in a Service-Level Agreement (SLA).
