Founded in 1914 as Michigan's first community college and originally named Grand Rapids Junior College, Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) occupies an eight-block urban campus in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. GRCC is organized into two schools - the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Workforce Development - and offers degrees in 28 areas of study, including accounting, child development, general business, nursing, criminal justice, performing arts, English and mathematics. The college wanted to implement a reliable disaster recovery solution to safeguard critical data and records. The college selected an IBM TotalStorage solution featuring IBM SAN Integration Server, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and IBM FlashCopy software.
