Maintaining an efficient SAP environment is critical to Autover's business operations and their SAP archive strategy plays a key role. Originally using DVD media to archive older SAP data, Autover needed a professional storage solution that would allow archive growth while ensuring long-term technology support. Their choice was to upgrade from DVD to UDO (Ultra Density Optical). Autover installed one of Plasmon's Entry Level Gx24 libraries to archive SAP data and printed documentation from customers, production sites and suppliers. Financially sensitive documents such as invoices, order confirmations and delivery notes, are all archived on True Write Once UDO media, with two additional copies created for redundancy and disaster recovery purposes.
