As part of its business continuity plans, ValueOptions had dedicated a 3 Mbps link between its Reston and Norfolk, Virginia offices for critical 24x7 data synchronization which was facilitated by MIMIX software from LakeView Technology. ValueOptions wanted to increase overall network capacity in order to successfully transmit its critical data over the link, at all times. ValueOptions first considered using bandwidth-shaping solutions, but soon ruled them out as these proved to be ineffective in increasing overall network capacity and throughput. The company then turned to Expand's Accelerators to deliver a cost-effective solution to boost WAN capacity.
