While Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has been widely adopted in government, it is primarily used as a transactional and tactical resource. GIS offers governments much more than mapping capabilities. It can be used to create new value and understanding by leveraging the power of location and analytics in support of strategic decision-making, governance, and advanced operations.
