According to Computer Weekly's Project Management Survey, only 16% of IT projects hit all their targets, with just 41% completed within the agreed budget. IT projects, however, are not all doom and gloom - if managed correctly they can deliver both financial and efficiency gains. As financial services giant Lehman Brothers discovered with its relocation project, which was not only completed in time, but also 20% under-budget. The relocation project, which was carried out with Lehman Brothers' chosen partner Computacenter, took place over 26 weekends in late 2003 and early 2004.
