An increasing number of projects in financial services and other customer-centric industries are proving the value of text analysis, when combined with traditional data analysis. Traditionally it has proved difficult for financial services companies to capture, combine, analyse and utilise both traditional and unstructured data to full effect. Those projects that have pioneered the integrated analysis of structured and unstructured data have proved the benefits to be substantial and beyond doubt. The advent of new systems approaches to integration and combined analysis of text and data have now made these business benefits more readily achievable and at a reasonable cost.
