BMC Software provides enterprise management solutions that empower companies to manage their IT infrastructure from a business perspective. The company wanted to efficiently resolve Help Desk calls and increasing the level of service offered to end users, while reducing costs, is a top concern. The IT department centralized and automated monitoring and management of its control and service problems. They developed an Enterprise Nerve Centeron (ENC) team to centrally monitor the components of the distributed environment. The PATROL infrastructure management products offered them a great set of mineable data and they started building on that foundation with other service-oriented products, such as PATROL End-to-End Response Timer (PATROL ETE), a synthetic transaction tool.
