Interface is one of the world's leading supplier of carpets and carpet tiles to commerce, industry and, increasingly, homes. The company wanted to consolidate six Windows NT servers and other Domino servers to a single iSeries system, rationalise workload and implement backup and disaster recovery policies. From a maintenance point of view, having six Windows NT servers running different parts of the Domino environment was costly and made disaster recovery overly complex. Interface Europe approached IBM Business Partner Brocom, which proposed consolidating all six Windows NT servers and the remaining iSeries Domino instances to a new IBM iSeries Model 810.
