Orange, a subsidiary of France Telecom, is one of the world's largest mobile communications companies providing voice and data services to over 54 million customers in 16 countries across Europe and beyond. To increase its presence in the UK business market, the company proposed to develop a radical new converged voice and data solution. A partner was needed to ensure the solution was delivered quickly and successfully. By working with Cisco Internet Business Solution Group consultants on the business proposition and Cisco technical experts on the network architecture, Orange and Cisco jointly developed Orange Link Voice and Data (OLVD).
