In early 2004, Coleman Technologies, Inc. (CTI), a Cisco Systems Gold Partner with IP Telephony Specialization, beta tested the Communications Connector by implementing it, with CallManager, throughout their organization. CTI was already using Microsoft's CRM, so when Cisco called and ask them to beta test the new Communications Connector Connector, they immediately saw its potential. When a customer calls CTI, their caller ID is registered through Communication Connector and CallManager, which immediately provides an online pop-up of their profile on the account manager's screen, displaying every aspect of their current and past product, sales and accounts relationship.
