Anoka-Hennepin School District, the largest public school district in the state of Minnesota, is dedicated to effectively educating each of its students for success. When the school board chartered the district to improve communications with parents by providing a variety of services and information online, the Anoka-Hennepin technology team began to evaluate solutions. Anoka-Hennepin elected to develop a parent/teacher portal with Nazca Solutions, Inc., a Microsoft software developer known for powerful data extraction, integration, and presentation capabilities - as well as its service-oriented Tool Set, Spider. To support the solution, Anoka-Hennepin chose HP ProLiant servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003, Active Directory, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
