CitiStreet, one of the largest global benefits delivery firms in the United States, found that its storage needs were growing faster than its existing infrastructure could handle. In addition, it was migrating from legacy mainframe-based systems to newer systems based on UNIX, and the newer systems needed to be able to handle the additional storage from the legacy systems. CitiStreet was beginning to see performance bottlenecks caused by storage issues, and faced having to continually shift data and resources to accommodate new storage requirements. To solve the problem, it turned to Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA) and HP Storage Essentials.
