Oracle Collaboration Suite Release 10g consists of different components in multiple tiers, all of which need to be made highly available for the overall system to be highly available. In addition to local high availability, provision needs to be made for local disasters, where the whole site experiences an outage, known as a site failure. This paper documents the details of the deployment method as well as the methods related to operational aspects, such as switchover, failover, patching, application deployment, and management for an Oracle Collaboration Suite Disaster Recovery (DR) site and protection against site failure.
