The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) is responsible for providing emergency services for over 31 million acres of woodland in the state of California. Such critical tasks require CDF to continually train and certify its personnel across the state in fire safety procedures; a difficult undertaking with staff scattered across 400 fire stations in 35 counties. CDF needed a better training solution that would reach its staff throughout the state more effectively, reduce travel time and travel-related expenses and provide training at convenient times due to unpredictable schedules. CDF evaluated solutions from several different vendors before selecting Interwise for its statewide training program.
